Art project for the Klokbeker School in Ermelo, Holland. Three benches with mosaics for the schoolyard.
The primary school Klokbeker from Ermelo asked Anneke Kamerling from Artista to start a mosaic project and with groups 5/8.
The intention was to decorate three concrete benches in the schoolyard with colourful, weatherproof glass mosaic.
The children chose the themes themselves and created the designs accompanied by Anneke. The designs were depicted in glass mosaic on large mats of fiberglass mesh. These mats were glued onto the benches and then grouted and nicely polished. Finally, a protective coating was applied.
The revelation took place on the 4th of June 2009.
